    Who it's for
Runners and cyclists who want more reliable HR data than wrist-based optical sensors provide, especially those with small wrists or who train in cold weather where cadence-lock is a risk. Suits anyone who wants a low-fuss monitor they'll actually remember to wear consistently.
    What people are saying
Hosts consistently praise comfort, accuracy over wrist-based HR, easy pairing with third-party devices (including Garmin), and good battery life. No notable criticism appears across the notes.
    Worth noting
Multiple hosts specifically flag it as a fix for cadence-lock, where a poorly seated watch misreads running impact as heart rate. Notes are uniformly positive, so no dissenting views to weigh.

SO comefy and effective. I got my coros arm band when I wanted a backup for my chest strap monitor. (like three years ago) And I never went back. Slight (~1sec) delay from chest strap (because the arm band is optical vs. detecting the heart's electrical activity) but the numbers line up and the arm band is so so much more comfortable that the slight delay is absolutely worth it.

This arm band changed the Heart Rate game for me. Chest straps never worked, I felt constircted and chaffed. When Coros brought this band out, it allowed me to trust and use HR data again. The data seems very accurate, only with a small delay (meaning it's not reliable for very short efforts or immediate feedback starting an effort). This is the go-to option for people I coach. Only issues have been with tattoos, and they tend to last ~24 months.

I’ve been using this HR monitor for over a year now and I love it because it doesn’t chafe like my previous chest strap HR monitor. It’s rechargeable and I only have to charge it every week and a half or so! It’s great for running, biking, yoga, paddle boarding, skinning.. the list goes on!

I wore chest strap HRMs for years and always had issues with them. I hated always having to keep the contacts wet, and it seems like every time I had to change a battery, the sensor would stop working. Enter the Coros armband HRM! So easy to pair with my Garmin and the PM5 monitors on my Concept 2 ergs, and it's optical so no contacts to worry about. Battery life is excellent, and I get a notification on my Garmin and my phone when it needs to be charged. Plus, it's super comfortable and the strap us easy to clean. I also love that it's rechargeable. I will never go back to using a chest strap again!

I use the COROS Heart Rate Monitor to get a more accurate picture of my effort, especially during long runs and ultra training. It helps me keep an eye on heart rate, effort and pacing so I can better understand what my body is actually doing—not just what my pace says.

Nerds like me need data. And I will never awkwardly adjust a chest HR strap around a sports bra ever again thanks to this delightful product. The studies have been done, yes it's within the same margins of error as a chest strap. Just make the shift already and be a happier data nerd/accurate collector of HR data.

Reliable heart rate sensing vs. your traditional watch

Sara Aranda, Trail/Ultra Coach, Athlete, Creative

I'm so glad I got myself this heart rate armband. It pairs easily with my watches, and as far as I can tell, the HR data is accurate. It is definitely far more accurate than just using my watch to read HR via the wrist (I have small wrists, and watches don't sit very flush). Using this armband ensures my watch doesn't "cadence-lock," which is a phenomenon that occurs when a watch interprets the impact of your running cadence as HR, skewing the workout data with incorrect values. Cadence lock can happen if a watch isn't flat against the skin or if your skin temperature drops too much due to cold weather. The COROS armband has avoided these issues altogether in my experience. The battery life is decently long, and the Bluetooth tech makes it easy to pair. I've enjoyed the orange color, as dirt and sweat won't show up as easily. I definitely recommend colors that won't highlight the grime of training! Plus, it's easy to detach the band for washing. I also like how relatively small/lightweight the HR monitor is.
