Brutiful. One of the oldest 100-milers in the U.S. Relentless ups and downs, idyllic Vermont countryside, horses on course, and some of the most uplifting volunteers you'll ever meet.
Skratch Labs Super High-Carb Sport Drink Mix by Skratch Labs — First race relying on Skratch High Carb, and it worked! I mostly ran a 300-calorie concentration, but I'll be bumping it up to 400 calories per flask next time. The flavor is mellow and actually tastes like real fruit. Somewhere around mile 70, it had me craving a bowl of cold raspberries.
Janji Women's Pace 5" Shorts by Janji — The perfect length short. Not too short where it rolls up, not too long where you feel like a dork.
H1 by Mount to Coast — The perfect shoe for Vermont 100, where long stretches of gravel roads blend into singletrack, rugged Class 4 roads, and the occasional pavement.
PlayOn Pain Relief Spray by PlayOn — This was so helpful during my hundred miler! My crew sprayed it on my legs during aid station stops, keeping transitions efficient and helping my legs feel a little less wrecked as the miles piled up.
Crew Drop One by SILO — I am so pumped on this drop bag! In prepping for the Vermont 100, which I’m planning to do with just my husband crewing and no pacers, I’ve become weirdly excited about getting this thing dialed. The internal compartments are ridiculously clutch for organization, and the separate shoe compartment means I can swap shoes without needing separate bags or turning the rest of my gear into a muddy disaster.
Comfort Ice Tube by Turtle Fur — I always have a tube (or two) with me on the trails — easily one of the most versatile pieces of kit. Extra warmth when chilly, soaked in water for a quick cooldown, or even wrapped around a scraped-up elbow when things get a little spicy.
Nomadix Ice Bandana Red by Nomadix — Felt cute & now I want one in every color. I was genuinely impressed by how long the ice lasted, and the slow drip of cold water was incredibly refreshing whenever I started to overheat.
B01 Trail Running Belt by Dera Running — No commission, just genuinely hyped on this product. First dial-fit running belt I’ve used, and it legit holds two flasks without feeling like you’re wearing a floaty around your waist. The included flask fits perfectly and actually locks in place. Big fan of the longer zipper pull on the back pocket too, easy to grab from behind while moving. Also has little grippies so you can tuck a shirt through the back. Haven’t tested poles with it yet, but overall really impressed by how it manages to feel both stretchy and secure at the same time.
Petzl Swift LT Headlamp Black by Petzl — I love this tiny torch because it stashes so easily, I’ll often keep it in my back pocket so I’m never without a headlamp. It’s also the perfect complement to a waist belt setup, giving you light for climbs when you need to look up. The updated version of the Petzl Bindi, it’s about as minimal and functional as it gets.
COROS APEX 2 Pro by COROS — The COROS battery life is unbeatable.
GU Roctane Sports Gel Multipack by GU — It just works! I hate using Gu during training, but it's been the most reliable thing while racing, especially the Roctane version. I alternate with the caffeinated ones.
SCORE by Bollé — So light I forget that they're on my face. I appreciate this classic frame, while I love feeling like an endurance nerd with speed goggles, these are a great alternative when I'm just trying to look chill. 😎
