- Nike Men's Vomero Plus Road-Running Shoes White 13 by Nike
- ASICS Men's Novablast 5 by ASICS — The Novablast is my go-to shoe for road miles and treadmill runs, especially on recovery days. It has the soft, cushioned feel that makes your legs and feet appreciate every step, almost like running with a pillow under your feet. The ride is smooth, comfortable, and forgiving, making it a great option for easy, straight recovery runs when you're simply looking to give your feet and legs a break. It does give up a little lateral stability compared to some other trainers, so it's not my first choice for sharp turns or uneven surfaces. But for those relaxed recovery miles where comfort is the priority, the Novablast is hard to beat.
- GEL-Nimbus 28 Road-Running Shoes - Men's by REI — The Gel-Nimbus is one of my favorite shoes for recovery runs, long road runs, and everyday comfort. It has plenty of cushioning to keep your feet happy mile after mile, but unlike some highly cushioned shoes, it maintains a level of stability that makes it feel secure and predictable. I especially like the higher heel-to-toe drop, which can be helpful for runners dealing with Achilles irritation or recovering from Achilles injuries by reducing some of the strain on the tendon. Overall, this is an incredibly versatile shoe—great for running, great for recovery, and even a fantastic option for work or everyday wear when you want all-day comfort and support.
