    • M's Sunchaser 50 Hooded Long Sleeve by Janji
    • Topo Designs Men's Sun Hoodie Blue XL by Topo Designs — The Topo Designs Sun Hoodie has become one of my favorite layers for cooler runs, hikes, and outdoor adventures. Compared to some of the ultralight sun hoodies on the market, it has a slightly heavier feel that provides a little extra warmth when temperatures drop without feeling bulky. I especially love the longer length, which gives it a comfortable fit whether I'm running, hiking, traveling, or just hanging out after an adventure. While I still use lighter-weight options on the hottest days, this is often the hoodie I reach for when comfort is the priority. It feels great against the skin, provides excellent sun protection, and has that perfect balance of performance and everyday wearability that makes it hard to take off.
    • ACG Lavaloops 9" Half Tights - Men's by REI — The Nike ACG Lava Loops Trail Running Tights are hands down my favorite running tights. The combination of comfort, breathability, storage, and durability is tough to beat. The pockets are incredibly functional and hold everything I need without bouncing or feeling bulky, which is a huge win during long training runs and races. Most importantly, they don't chafe. When you're spending hours—or days—on the trail, that matters more than almost anything. The fabric breathes well, moves with you, and stays comfortable even when conditions get tough. In fact, I trusted these enough to wear them for the entire Cocodona 250, and that's about as strong of an endorsement as I can give. If a piece of gear can survive 250 miles of running and still earn a spot in my race kit, it's doing something right.
    • Nike ACG "Lunar Ray" by Nike — The Nike ACG Lunar Ray Tights are my go-to choice when I want a little extra protection without feeling overdressed. They provide just the right amount of warmth for cooler mornings, mountain runs, and shoulder-season adventures while still breathing well enough that I never feel overheated. One of the biggest benefits for trail runners is the protection they provide from brush, rocks, and all those things that seem determined to leave your legs looking like you wrestled a cactus. They help prevent the scrapes, cuts, and trail rash that can accumulate over long days outside. The fit is comfortable, moves well, and doesn't feel restrictive whether I'm climbing, descending, or covering long miles. If you're looking for a running tight that keeps you comfortable, adds a little warmth, and protects your legs from trail abuse, these are an excellent choice.
    • GOCap - Comp - Century by Ciele Athletics — The Ciele GOCap Comp Century is one of those hats that just gets everything right. The fit is fantastic, it stays comfortable on long runs, and it has enough structure to hold its shape without feeling bulky or heavy. Most importantly, it looks good. Let's be honest—if you're going to spend hours wearing a hat, it might as well have some style. Ciele consistently nails the fun colors and designs, and this one is no exception. It performs well on the run, breathes well in the heat, and transitions seamlessly from the trail to grabbing food afterward without looking like you just escaped an aid station. It's become one of my favorite running hats because it combines comfort, performance, and personality in a way that few brands do.

  1. Nike Stride by Nike — This is my go-to jacket when I need just a little protection from the elements without feeling weighed down. It blocks wind surprisingly well, adds the perfect amount of warmth on cool mornings, and packs down small enough to disappear into a vest or drop bag. Whether I'm heading out for an early run, a mountain adventure, or dealing with unpredictable weather, this is one of those pieces I'm always glad I brought. The lightweight, breathable design and packability make it an easy choice for runners and anyone spending long days outside.
  2. On Men's Core Pants Blue XL by On — These quickly became one of my favorite pieces of gear for cold-weather running and long adventures. They're lightweight, comfortable, and do an excellent job of keeping me warm when temperatures drop without feeling bulky. I wore these during two overnight sections of Cocodona 250 when conditions were windy, cool, and less than ideal, and they performed exactly how I needed them to. They helped block the wind, stayed comfortable for hours on end, and continued to keep me warm even when conditions got damp. If you're looking for a reliable pair of running pants for early mornings, mountain weather, or long ultras, these are a great option that I've personally put through some serious miles.
  3. Weather Jacket Insulated - Men's by REI — This jacket absolutely exceeded my expectations. One of my favorite features is that it packs into its own pocket, making it incredibly easy to stash in a running vest, drop bag, or backpack when you don't need it. The insulation provides impressive warmth without feeling bulky, and I was pleasantly surprised that I could comfortably wear it over my running pack and still zip it up without sizing up. That's a huge advantage during long races and adventures when conditions can change quickly. Whether you're dealing with cold mornings, mountain weather, or overnight sections of an ultra, this jacket delivers warmth, protection, and packability in one well-designed package. It's one of those pieces of gear you're thankful to have when the temperature drops.
  4. Men's Ultra Jacket Limelight | Lime by On — This is one of my favorite jackets for trail running and ultras when space and weight matter. It packs down incredibly small, making it easy to stuff into a running vest, waist pack, or drop bag and forget it's even there until you need it. I love having it along for changing mountain weather, early starts, or unexpected wind and rain. It's lightweight, easy to carry, and provides just the right amount of protection without taking up valuable pack space. If you're the type of runner who likes to be prepared without carrying extra bulk, this jacket is a fantastic option.
