    TX Guide
    La Sportiva · $199TX Guide
Teddy“The TX Guides are the approach shoes I wear on a daily basis. They are durable, stable, and climb really well. I can spend all day guiding in the Gunks without ever taking them off. I also like them for climbing areas with long approaches and for routes where I know I won’t need them to walk off. ”

La Sportiva · $159TX2 EVO Leather
Teddy“La Sportiva’s TX 2s are my choice for a lightweight, minimalist approach shoe. I select these shoes when I know I need a shoe for walking off a climbing objective. They’re perfect for stuffing in a backpack pack or you can keep them on your harness.”
    TC Pro
    La Sportiva · $239TC Pro
Teddy“The TC Pro is a tried and true trad climbing shoe. It excels on most terrain except for really steep stuff. I have a pair of TC Pros that fit me comfortably for all-day wear and tear while guiding or for climbing long, moderate multi-pitch routes. I have a second pair that is smaller for when I need precise performance. ”
    Katana Lace
    La Sportiva · $239Katana Lace
Teddy“The Katana is an excellent climbing shoe for nearly vertical, steep, and slightly overhanging terrain. It’s stiff, precise, and confidence-inspiring. It’s the perfect shoe for the Gunks. I like the Katana in a “sendy size” for my hard trad projects. I have a second pair in a comfier size that I can wear on longer routes where I desire some comfort as well as performance.”

    Futura (2024)
    La SportivaFutura (2024)
Teddy“La Sportiva’s Futura is my choice for hard sport climbing and bouldering. It’s soft, supple, and performance-oriented. The No Edge designs thrive indoors and outdoors. I especially love that I can wear these shoes on routes with sloping features and small edges. It’s also excellent for hool and toe-hooking. I have multiple pairs and have been wearing them forever. ”
