    Products in this list

    • Anti-Chafe & Skin Repair Stick w/ Frankincense & Lavender by Squirrels Nut Butter — Works great like all SNB products: chaffed free, all natural, real stuff- smells great!!
    • Anti-Chafe & Skin Repair Sticks, Original by Squirrels Nut Butter — SNB awesomeness in a small packable tube for out on the trail! This little tube is in my vest or shorts pocket on every long run/ultra!
    • Ultra Run Crew by Injinji — Ultra socks for ultra runs!
    • High Country SS by rabbit — Love these shirts! Added it to the list because I wear them for races, runs, workouts, and work! They look good to go out in and wear the next morning on your training run. The snap buttons on the front allow for easy air flow and the laser holes on back keep the sweat evaporating and keep cool.
    • Ultra Run Cushioned Toesocks by Injinji — Ultra Run Crew, Mini , and No-shows all in the quiver depending on the conditions, distance, and trail.
    • Trail Toesocks by Injinji — Injinji Trail for shorter races, training, and everyday.
    • Lightweight Socks by Injinji
    • Lumen 850 Duo Waist Light by UltrAspire — Game changer!! If you run Ultras or you run in the dark you need this light. On its own, set at level 2 it lights up the trail like the sun and will run all night on a single battery. Being positioned down low you won't get any glare or shine back in heavy fog. Put it together with a headlamp to shine where your eyes look and you're unstoppable!
    • Traverse Hydration Pack by UltrAspire — My favorite pack. Carried this for all of Cocodona 250 and all three days of Three days of Syllamo as a train up. I cannot say enough positive things about this pack. It's comfortable, accessable, useable, and useful! Easy access to all pockets on the go without being a contortionist. Large dump pockets along the sides with drawstring to keep stuff in. Carries a lot of water comfortably! Love this vest!

  1. Men's Classic All-Season Merino Base Layer Crew by Smartwool — These long sleeves are amazing. I wear them all winter. They're temp regulating so even if temps go up or down you stay comfortable even when sweaty! Naturally antimicrobial, so they don't stink: I wear a shirt for 3 runs between washes. I just hang it to dry and wear it again tomorrow! I've got three of them that I've had for 6 years now and they're all good as new. I've ran almost every 100 mile and cold weather ultra with one of them on. I take one on every backpack trip. One of them went to Cocodona and got some wear there also. Awesome shirt.
  2. Men's Intraknit™ Thermal Merino Base Layer Crew by Smartwool — This is my cold weather kit. Ive worn this shirt in the most extreme of cold weather training and Ultras. Spirit of Syllamo 2025 was 18°/ 8° wind-chill and this shirt owned it! When the winds kick up pair it with a windbreaker and you're good to go!
  3. ULTRATRAIL FX.ONE SUPERLITE by Leki — If you're going to run in the mountains, you're gonna want poles. The glove/pole sharkgrip attachment is so effective, efficient, and easy. Easy to unclip, fold up, and put in quiver. And re-deploys just as quickly! Also, the poles are so light, I unclip and run with them in hand on the flats most of the time. These poles are amazingly strong and sturdy. Plus the power transfer from arm to pole by way of the solid clip to the glove is unmatched! You'll love them!
  4. M's 8" Trail Half Tight by Janji — Big fan of these shorts! Wore them or the full tights throughout 250 miles of Cocodona! Lightweight, protective, comfortable, fast drying, big pockets.
  5. H1 by Mount to Coast — Amazing shoe. Most hybrid tools are usually mediocre at either thing. Not these! The H1 is an awesome road shoe and an awesome trail shoe and anything in between! Plus its built to last 600 miles!! Cmon, ol son!
  6. Houdini Jacket - Men's by REI
  7. Patagonia Men's Strider Pro 5" Shorts Blue XS by Patagonia — These are my number 1 go-to shorts! All year, everyday, training, ultra, race, hangout, you name it. Multiple pockets along the waist. Fast drying. Ultra-Lightweight. Durable.
  8. Garmin Enduro 3 Black by Garmin — Best Running watch I've used yet. It's got all the stuff: tracking, nav, hr, sleep monitor, HRV, all the metrics you can imagine and the battery life is top shelf! I wear mine 24/7 run 6 days a week and the battery gives me 3 weeks between charges. It will last all your 100 mile races and most 200+ mile races.
  9. Arc'teryx Men's Norvan Jacket Black L by Arc'teryx — If you're going to be doing Ultras, you can plan on doing some in cold and rain. And staying warm and dry is essential to success. These jackets are not cheap, but they work when you need them and you'll pro only need one for the rest of your life. This is the closest thing to the Arcteryx Zeta LT (discontinued) that I have. It's lightweight, 3 layer Goretex. It breathes well, it blocks wind, its waterproof. I've worn mine through multiple 100 mile races: in the cold and rain and sleet and snow and it's always performed. The beauty or this one is its incredibly lightweight.
