    Tech/Gadgets - Meg Cooke

As a self-confessed data nerd, I lean pretty heavily on data collection devices and other fun tech

    Products in this list

    • Apex 4 by COROS — I'm the type of athlete who only charges their watch when they're sat down working. Aka, I track everything. I wear this watch 24/7 (including sleeping) and find it easy to use, with honestly, better than I expected mapping, and easy buttons and navigation. The battery life is also really good. I would never chose a bigger watch face over comfort, and as a smaller human the 42 mm version is perfect.
    • Heart Rate Monitor by COROS — Nerds like me need data. And I will never awkwardly adjust a chest HR strap around a sports bra ever again thanks to this delightful product. The studies have been done, yes it's within the same margins of error as a chest strap. Just make the shift already and be a happier data nerd/accurate collector of HR data.
    • inReach Mini 2 by Garmin — It's nice to have a backup plan on solo or group missions, this thing is small, easy to use and I like the different tracking modes. Although I have had messages while fastpacking saying "this doesn't count as running, go faster ;)"
