    Skimo Racing - Meg Cooke

    The fastest and lightest

Meg Cooke's expert gear recommendations on Rendezvu

    Products in this list

    • Stratos VI by La Sportiva — Yes, I often wear a full carbon race boot in the backcountry (especially in the spring). Why? Firstly, because it's stiff, and it's actually really comfortable. Secondly, in the spring time is a big factor. Having a super light boot means moving faster, more objectives ticked off and tbh keeping up with the guys more easily.
    • Gara Aero Ski Womens by La Sportiva — This ski handles everything a race could throw at it. The womens' ski is a slightly softer flex than the mens but it's rock solid in all conditions.
    • ATK Revolution Brake WC Binding by ATK — I'm a recent convert to racing on ATKs. I was convinced by their "lightweight" version which has a lower release value than the regular version.
    • MEZZA RACE by Leki — I use LEKI poles 4 seasons of the year, and these are my go-to race pole. At 5'3", I use a 125 cm pole.
    • G Comp Warm by Camp — I own an embarrasing number of pairs of gloves, but these are a pair that I have 2 pairs of as my go-to for a race on the colder side. The overmitts are great, while the base glove maintains really good dexterity.
    • Thermo Race Glove by Toko — This is a great do-it-all glove for skimo, in mild-cool conditions.
