Ski - Maestro.2 LS by La Sportiva — 79 underfoot is perfect for the spring, and I like to keep my couloir ski on the shorter side so at 5'3" I ski the 157. It's light, solid and handles great through a bit of everything!
Ski Trab Gara Titan Binding by Skimo Co — I love ski trab bindings for their "opposite" pin entry. You have to open the jaw to step in, so the default position is locked springs. An additional click up completely locks the boot in. I've never unexpectedly popped out of this binding, and with the spring options, it has the weight of a racey binding without the scary high release value of a full race binding.
GUIDE LITE 2 CARBON by Leki — New to my pole quiver this year and they're awesome. I like the carbide tip for scary icy things but with adjustability for long approaches into steep descents. Nice swing weight too!
Stratos VI by La Sportiva — Yes, I often wear a full carbon race boot in the backcountry (especially in the spring).
Why? Firstly, because it's stiff, and it's actually really comfortable. Secondly, in the spring time is a big factor. Having a super light boot means moving faster, more objectives ticked off and tbh keeping up with the guys more easily.
Skimo Race Crampon by CAMP USA — Light is fast!
Ikarus Pant W by La Sportiva — My go to spring or winter training pants, comfy, good pockets. Including a zipper thigh pocket that fits a beacon on women's mountaineering pants. CRAZY I know. And zippers that fit over ski boots.
Kilo Womens by La Sportiva — My go-to winter backcountry boot. It's not the stiffest boot out there, but for a lightweight skier (115 lb) it gets the job done in most conditions. And it's nice and warm and walks exceptionally well.
