- ADV SKIN 12 by Salomon — This is my go-to running vest for long training sessions and ultra-distance races. What I like most is the fit: it adapts perfectly to my body whether it is fully loaded or almost empty, without compromising comfort. It is also extremely durable. The rear pocket, positioned behind my back, is particularly useful during races because it allows me to take out or put away my windbreaker without wasting time. After so many hours on the trails, this is the kind of vest I know I can rely on.
- LEKI Ultratrail FX.ONE | NORDIC WALKING POLES by Leki — Although these poles are not specifically designed for trail running, they are the best I have tried. Their low weight is a big advantage, but what I particularly appreciate is the long grip, which allows me to hold them in different positions depending on the gradient and terrain. This versatility is especially useful on long climbs. For me, they are an excellent option for anyone looking for lightweight, versatile poles for mountain adventures.
- 2025 New Kailas FUGA EX 330 Trail Running Shoes Men's by Kailas Gear — These shoes have been one of my biggest discoveries of 2026. I have used them in demanding ultra races such as Sierra Nevada, Luchon and TOR, and they have impressed me with their comfort over many hours on the trail. I have also been really impressed by the GRIP outsole compound. Although kailas may not be as well known among trail runners as some other brands, my experience with this model has been excellent. They are definitely worth discovering if you are looking for comfort over long distances.
- Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 Rechargeable Headlamp by Fenix — This is a comfortable, durable and versatile headlamp for ultra-distance racing. Its two lighting modes give me plenty of options to adapt to different situations on the mountain. One of its biggest advantages, in my opinion, is that it uses 18650 batteries, which are relatively easy and affordable to find. Carrying spare batteries means I don't have to rely on a single charge throughout an entire race. In my own experience, I have managed to get almost two full nights of use from a single battery. For ultra running, that kind of battery life and the ability to replace the battery are major advantages.
