PlayOn Pain Relief Spray by PlayOn — This product has literally come to my rescue during TWO different races! As a trail runner, my hips and hamstrings can take a beating, especially when the miles and elevation start adding up. During two separate races, they were absolutely screaming at me, and this was exactly what I reached for.
I was able to use it right there during the race and keep moving toward the finish line. When you’re miles deep on the trail, you quickly learn what products actually earn a permanent spot in your race-day gear and this is officially one of mine.
From training days to race day, it’s something I’ll make sure is packed in my vest from now on!

Quarter Crew by Creepers Socks — When you’re spending hours on the trail, happy feet are EVERYTHING! After dealing with blisters, hot spots, and unhappy toes during training, toe socks quickly became a must-have in my running gear.
I love the quarter crew length for trail running, and having each toe separated helps keep my toes from rubbing together as the miles add up. They’re comfortable, stay put, and have earned their place in my race-day lineup.
From training miles to race day, these are the kind of socks I reach for when I know my feet are going to be put to work. Because nothing will humble you faster than realizing you still have miles to go…and your toes have already decided they’re done. 😂
Go Gels by BPN — Fueling can make or break a long run, and BPN Go Gels have become one of my go-tos when the miles start adding up. They’re easy to carry, easy to get down while I’m moving, and give me a quick way to stay on top of my fueling without having to stop and think about it.
I’ve used them during long training runs and races, and when I’m tired, climbing, and absolutely do NOT feel like eating anything, being able to grab a gel and keep moving is a game changer.
They’ve officially earned a spot in my race vest. Long miles require a lot of things—prayer, determination, and snacks. 😂🏃♀️⛰️
Daily Hydration Drink - Orange Soda by RTD — If you see me after a long run or race, there’s a VERY good chance I have Cadence Orange Soda in my hand. 😂🍊 It has become my absolute favorite recovery electrolyte!
After hours on the trail, I want something cold, refreshing, and actually enjoyable to drink—and the Orange Soda flavor hits every single time. It’s one of the first things I reach for when I finish because rehydrating and replenishing after those hard miles is just as important to me as fueling during them.
It tastes like a post-race treat while still being part of my recovery routine. This one stays stocked in our house AND packed for race weekends!
Zelvot Running Vest for Women Men, US Patent, Adjustable Chest Straps Running Hydration Vest with 500ml Soft Flask, Lightweight Reflective Hydration Backpack for Marathon by Amazon — When I started tackling longer trail runs and races, I quickly learned that a good running vest is a MUST. My Zelvot running vest has carried me through training miles, race days, and all the adventures in between.
I love having everything I need right on me—hydration, fuel, my phone, mandatory race gear, and all those little “just in case” items that somehow become very important when you’re miles into the woods. 😂
It’s comfortable, practical, and gives me plenty of room without feeling like I’m carrying my entire house on my back. Whether I’m heading out for a long training run or toeing the line on race morning, this is one piece of gear I know I can count on. 🏃♀️⛰️
ALTRA Women's Experience Wild 3 Trail Running Shoe by Amazon — Finding the right trail shoe has been a JOURNEY for me, but the Altra Experience Wild 3 has quickly become my favorite. After struggling with unhappy toes, blisters, and losing toenails during longer distances, I knew I needed to change what I was putting on my feet.
I made the switch to Altra and haven’t looked back! I love having more room for my toes, especially once my feet start swelling during those long trail miles. The cushioning feels great underfoot, and the traction gives me confidence whether I’m climbing, descending, or navigating technical terrain.
I’ve put these shoes through training miles AND race days, and they’ve officially earned their place in my trail-running lineup. When you’re going to ask your feet to carry you for hours through the mountains, your shoes MATTER. 🏃♀️⛰️
HydraPak Soft Flask by link — HydraPak soft flasks are a race-day MUST for me! 💦 One of my favorite features is how easy they are to open and refill, especially when I’m trying to get in and out of an aid station quickly. When you’re racing, those little stops can add up, and the last thing I want to do is fight with my hydration gear. I can pop these open, fill them up, and get right back on the trail. They’re lightweight, easy to carry in my running vest, and collapse down as I drink so there’s no annoying sloshing around. Simple, reliable, and one less thing I have to think about when I’m miles deep into a race! 🏃♀️⛰️💦
The Gym People Sports Bra by link — Finding a sports bra that I can actually forget I’m wearing during a long run is a WIN. 🙌 This one has become my absolute favorite for training, trail running, and race days!
It’s comfortable and supportive without feeling overly restrictive, and most importantly, I’m not constantly adjusting it once I start moving. When I’m going to be on the trail for HOURS, comfort matters—and the last thing I want is straps digging in or a sports bra becoming another thing I have to think about.
This is the one I keep reaching for again and again, and it has officially earned its spot in my race-day gear! 🏃♀️⛰️
THE GYM PEOPLE Women's High Waist Workout Shorts 8"/5"/3" Yoga Biker Shorts by link — These are my “put them on and don’t think about them again” running shorts—and that is EXACTLY what I want on race day! 🙌
I’ve worn these through long training runs and races without constantly pulling them down, adjusting them, or thinking about what they’re doing. But the biggest win for me? NO CHAFING. I don’t even have to use lube with them! 👏
When you’re spending hours on the trail, the last thing you need is a pair of shorts becoming a problem at mile 10, 15, or 20. These stay comfortable, stay put, and let me focus on my miles instead of my clothes.
Simple, affordable, comfortable, and officially one of those pieces of running gear I just keep reaching for. 🏃♀️⛰️
