10 Products I Actually Use - Keifer Gilbert

The gear I actually use and would buy again

Keifer Gilbert's expert gear recommendations on Rendezvu

    Products in this list

    • 001A - M - Abyss by Norda — Whether it's daily training, a long day in the mountains, or race day. I am reaching for this shoe. It does it all, great energy return when you need, a responsive but cushy ride, and durability to make it worth your while. I've got pairs of these with 400+ miles on them and they still have a substantial bit of life in them
    • Traverse Hydration Pack by UltrAspire — This pack is an absolute must have for multi day efforts, the storage capacity and design around the hydration system is beyond anything else in the market currently. I wore this at Cocodona and simplified so many things because of the capabilities of the pack.
    • Mountain Racer Waist Pack by UltrAspire — Without a doubt the most underrated waist belt on the market. Second to none in terms of storage capacity, materials used and overall fit. Absolutely no bounce in this thing and it can store both a 1L and 800ml flask. I'm a heavy sweater so this thing has been a game changer for me. It also is compatible with UltraSpire's waistlight system, which simplifies race day logistics in many ways.
    • DMRC Local Legend 5-Panel Hat by Death March Running Company — I love this brand and have multiples of their hats in my rotation, this one is my personal favorite. Fits great, nice and breathable, and the southwestern design to the hat resonates with me being born and raised in Arizona
    • Heivy Pink Himalayan Salt 1000 MG - High Quality by Heivy — I'm a super salty sweater, these things pack 1000mg of sodium into a single tab. These saved my butt when I got behind on my hydration plan at Cocodona and I use them daily now in these hot AZ summers
    • HYPERLYTE H1 by Hyperlyte — Absolute ROCKET FUEL. I throw this in my bottles when I know I have a big day ahead. This simplified so much of my fueling strategy because of the high carb and high sodium formula
    • ULTRATRAIL FX.ONE SUPERLITE by Leki — Seriously if you are doing big mountain races and don't have these in your quiver i don't know what the fuck to tell you. buy some.
    • PF 90 Gel by Precision Hydration — These were an absolute game changer with the cap setup and high carb access. Makes it nice and easy to slowly intake carbs rather than get everything down the hatch at once.
    • H1 by Mount to Coast — I do most of my easy running and daily training in these. Nice durable shoe that can handle just about anything you throw at it. Performs well on just about any terrain that doesn't get too technical

  1. Reactive Flow T-shirt by SAYSKY — Extremely light weight and breathable. The coolest thing about this shirt, and i didn't know this until i had purchased and worn it, but it reveals a cool flower design in the shirt when it gets wet.
  2. M's Sunchaser 50 Hooded Long Sleeve by Janji — Absolute best sun hoodie on the market, couldn't survive in Arizona without this thing
  3. M's 5" Multi Short by Janji — I can't function without a brief liner on my shorts and these are the best I have found. They stand up to anything, I wore multiple pairs of these during Cocodona
  4. M's TTech Pant by Janji — My go-to pant for long, cold night sections during races. Breahtable, but protective and doesn't snag or fall apart going through tight bushes and things of that nature
  5. RX:SKY by Speedland — Super fun responsive shoe, absolute speed demon in terms of mountain trainers. The BOA system in combination with the strap makes getting the fit dialed in super easy
  6. BETA Fuel Gels by SiS Science in Sport Logo — Easiest gel to get down that I have found, love these things. Strawberry Lime is my favorite flavor personally
  7. PlayOn Pain Relief Spray by PlayOn — One of the only products in this realm that actually does what it says, this has gotten me through some gnarly efforts and races. I keep a bottle in my bag at all times
  8. LMNT Zero-Sugar Electrolytes by LMNT — I typically use these for recovery rather than during training, but I drink these daily post-run
