Liberty Skis Radian 106 by Liberty Skis — If you love pushing yourself in technical, backcountry terrain I couldn't recommend this ski enough. Liberty makes some of the most durable, yet lightweight skis I have ever had the pleasure of riding and these skis have help up and boosted my confidence in places no one should ever try to ski.
Liberty Skis Scope 110 by Liberty Skis — This is the ski I take out when I want to take hot laps in the resort with the homies. I took this ski with me to Alaska this season as my primary ski and was very happy with how it held up on big faces, keeping the playfulness even at high speed in the steeps. *Photo is of the 2027 Model*
Launcher REACTIV Photochromic Goggles by Julbo — I didn't know goggles could get any better, but Julbo figure out a way. They goggles have lenses that pop out about a quarter inch and allow for cool air to get to your face. This allows you to keep them on for a second lap up a couloir and not deal with fog + when you're skiing out and things start getting hot at low elevation, just open the lens vent and get a blast of cool air as you finish off your ski day. Not to mention the photochromic lenses that I think make these the ultimate ski goggle.
Edge REACTIV 0-4 High Contrast Sunglasses by Julbo — I stumbled upon a Julbo booth looking for a pair of sunglasses that I could tour with, ski casually with, and that would protect me out on glaciers. Turns out the Edge Cover was exactly what was looking for and I haven't looked back since. They are truly the perfect pair of glasses for backcountry skiing
Folkrm Ski Poles by Folkrm — Simply the best ski poles on the market right now for backcountry skiing. I've tried a lot of poles and there are the lightest, most durable, and most functional poles I have ever used. I don't know how they did it! The long grips allow you to adjust your grip as you tour on a sidehill to keep your elbows at the most comfortable angle. Plus the owner is a super cool guy that makes these himself!
Auftriib Cramplifier by Skimo Co — Adding ascent plates to my kit was a gamechanger. They basically add surface area under your foot as you bootpack and leave you with more energy for the ski descent / a second lap. There are several options, but these are 100% the best out there right now. *You do need crampons for these to work*
Salomon Active Skin 8 Hydration Vest by Salomon — I asked people who run way harder than me what they recommend and this was always the answer. I have since ran a self-supported, off trail marathon with this vest and a ultra marathon. It's a great vest and I love how it fits.
Insta360 X3 Black by Insta360 — This is my headcam for every ski project I work on. There are technically better ones out there, but this one works the best with gloves on. I simply haven't felt any need to upgrade, this headcam is super good enough
Peak Design Capture 3.0 Camera Clip by Peak Design — If you are trying to take a camera into the mountains there is simply no better way to do it. This plate allows you to clip your camera onto your backpack chest strap. It will never fall off (I've even skied with a camera on my chest with this clip) and it allows you to get to your camera super fast so you never miss a shot.
Nikon Z6iii by Nikon — The z6iii will be the camera I use for many years to come. It has the in-camera video specs to hold up on any film crew, the photos coming out of this camera are just beautiful, and the body is super rugged and I don't think twice about through it in the snow when I need to free a hand in a hurry. I really think this is the ultimate photo/video camera right now. the ZR is top of the game if you just want video.
