- Who it's for
- Skiers who want a hardshell bib for both backcountry and in-bounds use in serious winter conditions. The lower-profile bib design and freedom of movement suit those who dislike bulky, overbuilt shell pants.
- What people are saying
- Hosts consistently praise the waterproofing, articulation, and non-bulky fit, with one noting four years of hard backcountry use with no failure. One host flags it's more of a suspender-pant style than a traditional high bib, and prefers its softshell top over Arc'teryx's Sabre bib alternative.
- Worth noting
- Uses GORE-TEX PRO ePE 3-layer construction with a RECCO reflector and touring-focused storage. Fit is noted as roomier than previous versions for better mobility.
Joe Flannery's review
The Arc’teryx Rush Bib is the best performance ski shell pant I’ve owned for in-bounds days in regular winter conditions. What makes it so good is the balance: it gives you premium weather protection and real freedom of movement without feeling bulky, heavy, or overbuilt for the kind of days most of us actually ski. The fit is dialed, the articulation through the legs is excellent, and the bib design adds protection and coverage without getting in the way. Arc’teryx says the current Rush Bib uses lighter, more durable GORE-TEX PRO ePE, has a roomier fit for better mobility, and includes touring-focused storage plus an embedded RECCO® reflector, and that combination shows up immediately on snow.

Stormy days call for quality Gore-Tex. I like the low bib. Lightweight with good ventilation.

I like the softshell top part of the bib more than the Sabre bibs, though those are available as well. Gore Tex Pro 3L shell pant in more of a suspender-pant style than the traditional super-high bib.

I love this hardshell bib. It is well thought out as a backcountry ski bib. I have beaten it to hell and back in the last four years and it's still holding strong. Very waterproof.
