Volkl Men's M7 Mantra Skis by Volkl — If there’s one ski that can truly do it all at the resort, it’s the Völkl Mantra M7. Whether you lean toward the narrower 96 mm version or the wider 102 mm. It’s rare to find a ski that handles everything, but when you’re uncertain about the day’s conditions, this is the pair you bring. The Mantra powers through crud, arcs confidently on groomers, and stays lively in bumps. While it’s a bit limited when the snow gets truly bottomless, the reality is that most resort days aren’t that deep—and this ski excels in the conditions we actually ski most often. For almost all resort skiing, the Mantra M7 is my top recommendation.

Scott Grenade Evo Hybrid Knee Guards by Scott Sports — When I’m skiing at the resort, knee pads are right up there with a helmet for me—they’re essential. Knees are one of the most common injuries on the hill, and keeping them both warm and protected is huge. At this point, my safety priority is simple: helmet first, then knee pads. The Scott Grenade Evo Hybrid Knee Pads are what I wear almost every day. They help in countless ways—whether it’s taking the sting out of a fall, protecting against a hidden rock, or just saving me from knocking my knees together. There are a million things your knees can hit on a ski day, and pads make all the difference. On top of impact protection, they also keep your joints warm, which I’ve found makes a real difference for comfort and injury prevention. The key is finding a pair you can wear all day without even thinking about it. If your ski pants are super tight, they might not fit over pads, but with the right setup they’re an easy addition to your kit. I totally recommend them. These are the ones I trust every day at the resort.
