Backwoods Splitboard by Weston — The surf and control on this thing in powder is the most fun I’ve had on a split. Weston in general is an amazing company that really supports its riders. I have the solid version too for resort riding it’s that fun.
Men's Ultralight Solution Splitboard by Jones — Going ultralight was a game changer for long tours. The combo of hardboots with Phantom bindings makes this thing a weapon in Colorado conditions. Icy or powder it feels like riding a spaceship.
M6 Binding Full Kit by Phantom Snow Industries — Elite level riding require elite gear. Phantoms are the best in the game. Pair these with Key Disruptive Boots and your system is the lightest in the game.
DISRUPTIVE by Key Equipment — Switching from a softboot to a hardboot is a big commitment. Making sure your system is comfortable and compatible with your riding style is important. Key boots were a game changer in being able to have lateral stability in technical terrain. Plus they slay on the downhill.
Aspect 32 by Hyperlite Mountain Gear — For uphill at resorts or single day tours, this pack is the best it gets. With the side zip and external dynema skin pocket, I fit my Phantoms in the skin pocket for the uphill. Keeps gear dry and transitions quick.
Men's Dawn Patrol Hybrid Shell by Black Diamond — This kit has been a backcountry work horse. The hybrid zipper for the uphill bleeds heat while keeping snow out. Very much recommend this to anyone looking for that softshell upgrade for technical missions. BD did such a great job on adding color to the backcountry!
Men's Dawn Patrol Hybrid Pants by Black Diamond — Softshells are the way to go for long tours. BD did an awesome job on this kit.
Black Diamond Deploy Down 0.5 Full Zip Hoody by Black Diamond — Packable and silly warm. Go to puffy for cold days and feels like nothing in a pack. The purple stands out in the BC so well!
Ignik Ripple Rechargeable Hand Warmers - Package of 4 Orange by Ignik — Keeping a set of these in your pack can help save your fingers on a cold day. Has saved me many mornings after cold transitions. And no more waste throwing away hand warmers!
REpack by Hyperlite Mountain Gear — Keeping snacks a little insulated matters. I can stash a whole days worth of snacks in this thing. Favorite little piece of gear.
Tahoma Poles by Folkrm — The lightest most stable pole on the market. Having the long grip makes steep climbing so much easier. Highly recommend folkrm poles to anyone in the backcountry.
