I typically carry lengths between <strong data-start="228" data-end="246">18 and 25 feet</strong>. I still find the cordelette to be an extremely versatile piece of equipment, with several key advantages over a sewn 240 cm sling.

Alpine Runner by Blue Ice — I like this sling as a dedicated <strong data-start="149" data-end="164">“high-clip”</strong> for glacier travel — essentially an extension of your belay loop if you find yourself “corked” in a crevasse. It’s also cleaner and less bulky to ski with than other setups.<br><br>Note: the 90cm (yellow/beige) is my preferred length.

Gully 7.3 mm Unicore by TAZ — If the terrain calls for it, I like to take a dynamic half-rope like the Beal Gully. Either instead of the Rad Line, or in conjunction with it.
