Snowboard Gear - Jared Manganelli

This is a list of items I currently use and have tested over the last few years. Items that have stood out and work how they need to.

Jared Manganelli's expert gear recommendations on Rendezvu

Products in this list

• Ride Moderator by Backcountry — My current daily driver. This board rips without destroying your legs. Damp enough to enjoy long days on the mountain while still being responsive enough to handle more demanding terrain and conditions. I currently ride the 2025 graphic but nothing has changed since the board came out in 2025. Directional shaped weapon for really anything your throw at it.
• Fuse Snowboard Boot - 2026 - Men's by Ride — This boot can charge. Hybrid boa lacing system with a stiff responsive feel. Michelin sole, internal lacing system controlled by the side boa for maximum heel hold, and classic exterior laces. The material holds up and the boots remain a top option for so many riders out there. I am currently on my second pair and continue to enjoy what they offer.
• Squad XL by Smith Optics — This goggle is a great option that wont break the bank and provide a quality clear field of view. The larger frame size adds to the style of this goggle and makes for an option that maximizes vision. This model comes with two lens options which truly adds to the value of this price point goggle.
• Force Snowboard Binding - 2026 by Union — This is a hard charging tried and true binding in the union lineup. I cannot say enough good things about this workhorse from Union bindings. Standard size mounting disk, comfort packed foot bed, some of the best straps in the game, and equipped to handle everything on the mountain. I love this binding because of its versatility in the park, on hard pack, and scoring powder. There is a reason this model has been in the lineup for years. Based off the OG version with a fresh look and added tech. You cannot go wrong with this binding.
• MTE Standard Waterproof Boot by Vans — Best slip on and off winter boot. Rubber toe, classic laced up look, insulated liner, and retro vans look. These are my go to for trips to the mountain and handling variable winters.
• Line Miner L Prizm Goggles by Oakley — Classic square body tried and true goggle from Oakley. The Line Miner L has a high quality prizm lens and a wide field of view being the size large frame option. Its one of those goggles with a timeless look and style that transcends trends and never ending changes in the winter sports industry. I love the closed frame look it provides. It keeps the look simple and sleek while being quality enough to handle any conditions.

Additional lenses can be purchased to swap out and interchange based on conditions.

1. Infuse Snowboard Boot - 2026 by Vans — The infuse from Vans is a do it all high performance weapon on the slopes. This hybrid boa lacing system boot has the style of a traditional laced boot with the added tech of the side boa for added performance and overall feel. The side boa works as a heal lock for the internal of the boot to ensure a locked in feel and snug fit. These can truly handle anything you throw at them from park to powder to hiking a wedge in the back country. This boot rides as good as it looks.
2. Mercury Snowboard - 2026 by Capita — I've had the chance to ride this board and ton and love what it offers. Its a directional shape that leans more on the directional twin side of things which makes it an absolute work horse for riding everything and anything on the mountain. The flex is slightly stiffer than middle of the road making it a great option for ripping in the park, blasting big kickers, blasting groomers, and handling the deepest of powder days. Its one of those boards you get on and feel right at home. Anyone can get on this board and have a good time while not feeling like its under performing.
3. Source Pro Snowboard Binding - 2026 by Union — This one just landed this season and man does it pack a punch. Managed to get a chance to test these out this winter and they perform at the highest level. These have to be the lightest bindings I have ever used. Union dropped these with a new mounting system which gives maximum board feel without sacrificing stability and that locked in feeling we are all looking for. They come with a very simplistic strap system that really holds you in tight for precise feel and performance. It seems the idea was to make a binding that uses the least amount of material to cut down on weight while at the same time using the best and highest quality material for the best possible high performance binding on the market.
4. Katana AW FASE® Snowboard Bindings by 2526
