Ranger Ski - 2026 - Women's by Fischer — A high quality ski from the trusted race-bred Austrian brand Fischer that doesn't have any additives - just poplar, fiberglass, and traditional sandwich sidewall construction. The tips and tails are raised off the snow and have a more forgiving flex, allowing this to be a very forgiving and approachable ski for athletic beginners all the way to lightweight advanced women.
Absolut Joy Ski + Joy 9 GW Binding - 2026 - Women's by Head Skis USA — My customers' favorite beginner package from the race-bred Austrian manufacturer Head. These are a rare beginner ski that can grow with you through the intermediate stage and actually hold a nice edge like all Head skis. They have a great look, too!
Sheeva 9 Ski - 2026 - Women's by Blizzard — If you are going to spend serious coin on skis, they better be able to handle anything! The Sheeva is a rare ski that actually can - it has a titanal frame and blend of poplar/beech/paulownia in the core that combine to let you carve anything at high speeds. At the same time, it has a generous rocker profile and round tips and tails that allow for excellent control and freedom off trail in trees, powder, and in bumps - even the terrain park from time to time. The definition of a one-ski quiver for intermediate through expert ladies.
Mindbender 85 Ski - 2024 - Women's by K2 — Insane price on a quality intermediate ski that can also be used by athletic beginners! I have demoed the Mindbender and I think that its shape is perfect - more rockered than a race-style "beginner ski" that catches edges easily, but traditional enough to carve well. K2 has always been a forward-looking brand, but I find the Mindbender to actually ski like a throwback, so there are no surprises on trail.
Kore 85 Ski - 2025 - Women's by Head Skis USA — 2025 model of a killer ski for athletic intermediate through expert ladies that is on sale in several sizes! The Kore series' claim to fame is all about high stiffness and carve-ability combined with super-low weight due to the karuba wood + graphene construction that is unique to Head. These can absolutely fly like all Head skis but they aren't punishing or planky. Killer price!
E-Pro 85 Ski by Level Nine Sports — This women's-specific shredder from Dynastar is not like so many dumbed-down skis women have to deal with - it has the same construction and Titanal Rocket Frame that the M Pro has. These are stiff, fast, and damp, but without the severe weight of skis like the Black Pearl or Secret in its class due to the Hybrid Core construction that incorporates polyurethane on the sides. A great deal and a great looking ski for athletic intermediates through expert-level ladies who ski on piste.
Rallybird 102 Ski by Level Nine Sports — The Rallybird series from Rossi is the women's Sender, which I think is one of the most versatile skis on the market for the price. They have a lighter weight wood in the core, air tips, and a fantastic rocker profile that lets you in and out of turns whenever you want. This 102mm waist is more powder- and freeride focused, so advanced and expert skiers are the best match for it; however, athletic West Coast intermediates will love it too, as it doesn't have all the metal of the Ti version so the weight is approachable for anyone. The 94mm version is also available and is more of an all-mountain width.
Experience W 86 Ski w/ Look SPX 12 GW Binding by Level Nine Sports — I owned the men's Experience 88 with Look bindings, and wow - they were the easiest skis to ski I've ever had. They can take high speeds and go off trail, but they are more at home on groomed runs for ladies who aren't speed demons. They have air tips, a lightweight wood core, and what they used to call Auto-Turn Rocker for the profile - and that was actually an apt name! They felt like they got into a rhythm of turns so easily it was automatic. I miss them! These come with a binding for the price, so if you are an athletic beginner through an advanced skier, lock these down.
Rossignol Women's Alltrack Pro 80 W GW Ski Boots Khaki 23.5 Mondo by Rossignol — On sale or not, these are the best bang for the buck! They have a walk/hike mode, the comfiest and warmest liners on the market, and a new step in mode that makes entry easier than most traditional 2-piece boots. My brother owns the men's version and we have the same shoe size so I have worn them and can attest - you want these.
Atomic Women's Hawx Prime 85 W GW Ski Boots Black 24.5 Mondo by Atomic — Medium width, medium flex, standard look - these are for ladies looking for a quality manufacturer's ski boot that won't break the bank who aren't in need of all the bells and whistles. I own the men's version and they just disappear on your feet while skiing which is high praise. 85 flex is for intermediates and lighter weight advanced skiers, but athletic beginners who are going to progress quickly should skip right to these, as well!
Dalbello Women's Cabrio MV 95 W Wrap Ski Boots Blue 25.5 Mondo by Dalbello — If you're going to spend top dollar on boots, they better be the absolute best - and these are. 3D wrap liners and Dalbello's famed 3-piece cabrio shell mean that you can step into these hands free (I know, I own the men's version)! They also have a walk mode and adjustments for everything - ramp angle, canting, calf fit (spoilers), sole type, interior volume, width, flex, buckle length, and buckle position! This can allow you to skip a trip to a bootfitter like I did, which saves you $50 and the hassle!
LX 75 W HV GW Ski Boot - 2023 - Women's by Lange — Under 100 dollars for boots is unheard of, but add the fact that multiple sizes are available, and this is a Lange!? Yes please! No "Lange Bang" applies here, as this is their comfort model with a generous toe box and super soft liner. 75 flex is good for beginners through intermediates or anyone who wants a soft-flexing boot that isn't punishing. A no-brainer.
Chakra AX 95 LS Ski Boot - Women's by Dalbello Sports — This is the same boot as the famed Panterra/Cabrio at a lower price point because it doesn't have a walk/tour mode...but I own the Panterra and can tell you that its walk/tour mode offers significantly less range of motion than any other brand's, so I don't use it! On sale or not, then, these are IDEAL for any intermediate, advanced, or expert skier with a medium-width foot because of the cabrio construction, which lets you step into the boot hands free! They are much comfier than standard two-piece boots but with the 95 flex can still yield the same power.
Lupo AX HD Ski Boot by Dalbello Sports — The Lupo AX was an absolutely beloved boot that Dalbello no longer offers (well, it is now the Cabrio Free Lite), so snatch these up, even if they are no longer on sale! These have tech inserts for pin bindings/touring, a tour/walk mode latch that offers great range of motion, and a strong 100 flex so they can serve as pro-level freeride or resort boots for advanced and expert ladies who occasionally tour or who enjoy "sidecountry" skiing out of bounds.
Panterra 85 Ski Boot - 2024 - Women's by Dalbello Sports — I own the men's version in the stiffest flex and can tell you (as many other reviews do) that Dalbello's flex ratings are off by about 15. What this means is this top of the line, highly adjustable, extraordinarily comfortable 85-flex boot is actually more of a beginner and intermediate boot than the number shows. It is very rare to get all the bells and whistles of a pro level boot in a soft, agreeable flex, so snatch these up if you want to get one pair of boots that can grow with you (even if you end up shredding)! I've had my Panterras for 6 years and have no plans of upgrading - there is nothing to upgrade to!
Attack LYT 11 GW Binding - 2026 by Tyrolia — The knock on the Attack bindings in my opinion is that the toe piece is bulky and heavy - no more with the LYT version! To me, that was the only real advantage of the more expensive Squire and Griffon series from Marker relative to Attacks, and it is now moot. So save the coin and grab these if you are anywhere from a beginner through lightweight expert (so long as you don't ski in the terrain park or race).
Squire 11 Ski Binding - 2026 by Marker — The gold standard for intermediate skiers, as it offers Marker's legendary durability and the best price:performance ratio on the market while also somehow being lighter than other 11-DIN bindings. If you don't want to have to think about your bindings at all, just get these (unless you are a speed demon or park rat).
Griffon 13 ID Ski Binding - 2026 by Marker — The best price:performance ratio on the market for heavier intermediates through expert skiers. I own these, and they disappear on the ski, which is what you want. A 13 DIN is high enough for park use (I use mine in there), but not so crazy high that step-in is a chore. Heavier intermediate skiers through experts of any size look no further.
