    Ultralight Backpacking - Emily Keddie

Emily Keddie's expert gear recommendations on Rendezvu

    Products in this list

    • Gorilla 50 Ultralight Backpack by Gossamer Gear — For longer backpacking trips carrying more gear, this pack is supremely comfortable and light.
    • Mirage 40 Ultralight Backpack by Gossamer Gear — The most exquisite ultralight backpack for those going long but extremely light. It has an integrated hip belt and frame, which for me is necessary to avoid shoulder pain- but it's lighter than almost any frameless pack. Carries weight well (loaded up including 4L of water). Simple, intelligent design.
    • The DCF Whisper by Gossamer Gear — Ridiculously lightweight. After setting it up 2x, I had the routine fairly dialed- it uses your Gossamer Gear adjustable trekking poles. Surprisingly spacious. Withstands wind so much better than I anticipated. Trusted for long distance efforts.
    • LT5 Three Piece Carbon Trekking Poles (pair) by Gossamer Gear — Light, comfortable grip. I use these for all backpacking, and use with my Gossamer Gear Whisper tent.
