10 Products I Actually Use - Elliott Waldock

The gear I actually use and would buy again

Elliott Waldock's expert gear recommendations on Rendezvu

    Products in this list

    • Speedland GS:TAM2 by Speedland — The GS:TAM is what started my speedland journey and im so stoked to get the 2.0 new and improved! Preorder for October delivery!
    • UltrAspire TRAVERSE 20L by UltrAspire — I am an ultraspire athlete and I got this pack as a prototype last year before their official release. I have worn it for the Summit 200, Maah Daah Hey 150, Crazy Mountain 100, and a few longer days in the mountains. This is my favorite pack that ultraspire has debuted. I will be wear it with confidence at any distance above 100 miles
    • Trail Midweight Crew by Injinji — I've tried nearly every sock brand. I prefer toe socks and I have landed on injinji as my favorite and most trusted. I don't get weird hot spots, they are durable (I have worn a single pair for 100 milers) and they are priced affordably for the mileage I get out of them. I haven't found anything worth going to besides them. I like the taller socks to protect my tattoos from the sun!
    • 90g Alpha Direct Hoody- Midnight Blue/Charcoal by Houda Trail — I have been wearing houda for years now and own many pieces. The 90G alpha direct is all I have needed during overnight sections of Cocodona, Tahoe 200, and other big efforts. Jameson will make you whatever you need for your adventures!
    • Speedland GS:CCD by Speedland — I have put over 1000 miles on my two pairs of these shoes. Light gravel work is the most extreme surface I take them on and it will wear them out faster. For speed workouts on a track or treadmill they are my weapon of choice!
    • Lumen 850 Duo Waist Light by UltrAspire — This is my favorite light and I have tried several. I primarily run it as a waist light. The 18650 batteries are easy to manage and keep charged and they last a long time. The fit is great, I don't struggle with bouncing and it's easy to tighten or loosen as I add or remove layers.
    • RX:SKY by Speedland — These have been my shoes of the summer. Used them for the Crazy Mountain 100. I will be wearing them during the later half of the San Diego 200 also
    • PF 300 Flow Gel by Precision Hydration — I use this in conjunction with the PF soft flask. You can just dump the whole thing in at an aid station and go. I much prefer the neutral flavored gels as I get palette fatigue and this doesn't wear me down mentally
    • NEOTRAIL PRO FX.ONE SUPERLITE by Leki — These have been my favorite poles I've tried thus far. I am not a fan of the clip on glove style. These are essentially the same just with a wrist strap.

  1. UltraFlask™+ 500ml by HydraPak — Always keep a filter flask in my pack. You never know when you're going to find water or need a drink and the only option is to filter.
  2. VERTIX 2 GPS Watch by COROS — This has been my watch for 3 years. I have done 4 200 milers and it has lasted throughout all of them. It is heavy, so for the first couple of weeks it takes some time to adjust, but now I no longer notice it.
  3. Men's Sendero Short by Terignota — For the price these are the best dollar for dollar shorts I've ever worn. Comfortable and have plenty of storage. I also have a pair in womens cut in XL, they have a little bit shorter inseam and sometimes that's what I want.
  4. RX:PNW by Speedland — These are still my favorite road shoes. They crush 4 hour saturday long runs and if you throw the carbon plates in they crush a 1h speed workout. Can recommend! I love the deep blue color too!
