The G-SCREAMER is a lightweight HMPE sling featuring an integrated shock absorber, designed to enhance safety for climbers in alpine, big wall, and ice climbing scenarios. Its ability to minimize impact forces on questionable anchor points makes it an essential piece of gear for those prioritizing safety in challenging environments. 1. HMPE sling with integrated, compact shock absorber – developed in collaboration with Simon Gietl. 2. Suitable for alpine, big wall, and ice climbing, particularly in scenarios with questionable anchor points. 3. Reduces dynamic impact force on the anchor point to less than 4 kN, enhancing safety during falls. 4. Static response force of 3 kN, providing reliable performance under load. 5. Weighs less than 50 g, making it only slightly heavier than a conventional quickdraw sling while offering significant safety reserves. 6. Braking distance of 85 cm, with a total deployed length of 100 cm after shock absorber deployment. 7. Compatible with rope clamps pursuant to EN 567, fulfilling dynamic requirements of EN 15151-1 for belaying a follower. The G-SCREAMER is ideal for climbers engaging in alpine, big wall, or ice climbing, particularly when facing uncertain anchor points. It excels in challenging terrains where safety is paramount, making it suitable for both novice and experienced climbers. This product significantly reduces the risk of anchor failure during falls, making it a must-have for any climbing expedition, especially during the climbing season when conditions can vary widely.

Doug Dobkowski's review
I usually have 1 or 2 of these with me when I am ice climbing. They are a quick draw. If you fall on it, the stitching rips. Sounds bad, but the purpose is to minimize the force on the piece of protection. I clip this to screws that are questionable. Maybe it's a stubby. Maybe the ice is airated. Being safe in the mountains is all about stacking the odds in your favor.
