The link sticker, step by step, and how to make it the thing people actually tap
Copy the Right Link First
Decide what you are pointing at, then copy that link from Rendezvu before you open Instagram. One product: the direct link from your Links page (Links in your account menu). A brand campaign you are posting for: the Copy Campaign Link button on the opportunity. Everything you recommend: your profile link, rendezvu.co/your-username. Copy it from the app rather than retyping it, and the tracking that credits you stays intact.
Add the Link Sticker
Open the Instagram story camera and take or upload your photo or video. Tap the sticker icon at the top of the screen, choose Link, and paste the link you copied. Tap "Customize sticker text" and replace the URL with a few words about what people get. Tap Done, drag the sticker where you want it, and pinch to size it. Then post to Your story. Every account can do this. There is no follower minimum and nothing to unlock.
Sticker icon, then Link, then paste and name it. Three taps between your link and a live story.
Write Sticker Text People Tap
The default sticker shows the raw URL, which tells a viewer nothing. Replace it with two or three plain words that name the payoff: "Shop the pack", "See my full kit", "Get the deal". Tap the sticker after you place it to cycle its colors, and pick the one that stands out against your photo. If it is a video, say it out loud as well, because people watch stories with their thumb already moving.
Same link, two stickers. The one in your own words is the one that gets tapped.
Place It Where Thumbs Go
Put the sticker around the middle of the frame. The top strip belongs to your username and the story progress bar, and the bottom strip is where the reply bar sits and where the viewer's hand already covers the screen. Leave a little space around it so nothing else competes, and point at it in the shot if you can. An arrow drawn with the pen tool works better than you would expect.
Make It Last Longer Than a Day
A story is gone in 24 hours, but a highlight is not. Save the story to a highlight and the link sticker keeps working there, which matters when a campaign runs for weeks. Keep your profile link in your bio too, so the story is never the only way in. Links are not tappable in feed captions or comments, so on Instagram the story sticker and your bio are the two places a link actually does its job.
If You Do Not See the Link Sticker
Update the Instagram app and reopen it, since the sticker tray is one of the first things an old build loses. Make sure you are posting a story rather than a feed post or a Reel. And check that you pasted the full link, including the https:// part, because a partial URL will not save. If everything looks right and it still will not take, share your profile link from your bio instead and try the sticker again on the next story.
