EKLIPSE 12L by Instinct Trail — I’ve have worn the Instinct 12L for all of my major days out on the trails and for any long trail 100 miler to 200+ mile effort. The back compartment offers a unique easy entry point for crew and runners alike. If you want a pack that can carry everything and the kitchen sink but also remain stable and lightweight, this is the pack for you!
Men's AXIS - Sand/Oat by hylo athletics — Hylo has quickly become a brand I’ve been reaching for on all of my runs. Not only is the brand great for you, but is made using sustainable materials which blends sustainable manufacturing into a stylish performance running shoe.
High Cushion, No Show by jogology — Jogology has been a brand I absolutely love! Owners: Bert, Tanya and Luke are some of the best people that I have ever known in the industry and I respect the heck out of them. The product is incredible offering a nice natural fit and if you want cushion to last you for hundreds and hundreds of miles, Jogology is the choice. The brand is also very socially conscious and donates to many local running organizations as well as Guide dogs of America
Model 121 Snowshoe - QuickFit Binding/Deep Cleat by Dion — Dion snowshoes are some of the best racing snowshoes on the planet. Being the only modular snowshoe, I can buy and replace parts as needed and customize the cleat to the snow conditions. Being a Vermont business and family business means you are supporting amazing New England people making great product!
HYPERLYTE H1 by Hyperlyte — After going with a Sweat Test for Badwater 135, I found out that I was a not super salty sweater. At 780 MG per liter of fluid. Hyperlyte is high carb, easy on the stomach and hits that sweet spot in sports nutrition. I race using one scoop and knowing I have everything I need plus my whole foods can power me from 50k up through 350 miles.
Lynx PD by PATH Projects — I used to suffer from bad chafe in races, especially in 200 milers. Since using Path Projects base liners, life has been a lot more enjoyable in my races. I love having a separate underwear underneath my shorts to prevent chafe and help insulate those "crown jewels"
KEEN Men's Seek Trail-Running Shoes by KEEN — Keen has been a newer brand for me in the trail space. I have come to love their shoes for their durability of 900+ miles per pair, nice grip, wide toe box and just balanced overall ride. Yes, there are lighter shoes out there. Yes, there are fancier and more expensive shoes out there. But if you want a shoe that has your back, well feet, mile after mile, day after day, then Keen needs to be in your quiver
T-Rex Dual Solar by Amazfit — So I have a Trex watch and love it. Imagine all the great features of your smartwatch but with more interactive features and the mapping is my personal favorite as I takes Google style mapping and places it on your wrist. This version is the solar which I have used solar watches before and damn they kick-ass. Amazfit, how do I get one of your Solar watches??? :)
Anti-friction cream by Sidas — This stuff really works! Damn! Happy feet for a 200 miler is essential!
Trail running socks - Trail Ultra by Sidas — Sidas is an exciting brand to hit the US market. They are a foot company so they know everything about the human feet. So of course they know socks. If you want trail socks that will keep your feet strong and blister-managed across 200+ miles, you have to give these a try. Once you go Sidas, it is hard to ever do without!
Footpath Elite by Footpath — Footpath has been my #1 go to mapping program for FKTs, long ultras and much more. I am directionally challenged and this app makes running 200 milers and finding great places to run when traveling a great benefit.
Honey Stinger Organic Energy Gel by REI — I have never really done well with Synthetic sports nutrition. You know, the stuff found in a lab. For me, mother nature treats me best. Honey stinger gels have been what I used specifically for Badwater 135 and I never once had any stomach issues. Honey always goes down smooth for me.
Mens Primaloft® Ascent Stretch Hoodie by Himali — I have loved Himali from the first time the brand got going. The Ascent Jacket was my own personal Christmas present one winter and damn, I have used this jacket from everything from staying warm crewing as a part of Chaos Crewing to the Arrowhead 135 winter ultra and much more. It stays warm when wet and is insanely warm!
SILO Crew Drop One by The Feed
DROP KIT PRO I Crew Drop One Bag + Roll Drop Organizer by SILO — I have been an early-adopter of Silo. Owning a Chaos Crewing company with my wife, we have put the Drop 1 bag through its paces. I have used it for many of my work trips and long ultras. It fits everything you need for an ultra with all of its various storage pockets. Then the Roll bag is the best. This is great to hang in the crew vehicle and can act as a mobile crew safety kit.
Rabbit Ice Perf Tee SS by rabbit — Being Unsponsored in the Apparel world, it gives me the chance to try-out various brands. Rabbit has been a top brand in the space for quite some time. A durable, light and breathable shirt is key when wearing a hydration pack, running 24 hours on the track, or layering underneath a Q-zip. This fabric continues to be a nice polyester blend with solid stretch and perf holes. ANd the kicker is the Price. You get a lot of value here!
Wadi Tee 2.0 by PATH Projects — I wore the Wadi 2.0 LS tee for Badwater and have used the SS tee for many other ultras. I love the laser Perf and the fabric is light and breathable. The price is fair and not cheap, but the value comes in longevity. I could see this Japanese Toray fabric serving me for another 10 years worth of ultras!
KEEN Wander by KEEN — I have used this shoe this Fall and love the ground feel of the shoe and feel like the industry has gone away from proprioception and are going with high-stack and fancy foams. I live in New England and the terrain is technical with wet rocks, roots, and very narrow singletrack. Much of my footing is one bad step and you are falling into rocks or are at risk of being hurt or injured. So reliable grip and ground-feel is key. I love Keen and what the brand stands for and this shoe is sneaky good for shorter runs
Ice Bandana by rabbit — Ice bandanas are so important. Rabbit has a nice one. I used it for Badwater 135 and loved the amount of ice, the separate compartments and overall performance
Running socks - Run Anatomic Comfort Ankle women blue/pink by Sidas — Sidas socks are light but hold-up really well to true abuse out inside your shoes. I find many socks maybe feel cushy and nice but do not endure. Sidas socks endure and just work.
NoFry Sun Hoodie - Four Snap by Ketl — I used this sun hoodie for the Cowboy 200 in 2024 and it is a great lightweight fabric. The price is killer and the snaps allow for great ventilation. Could be a great choice for Cocodona 250 and many of those hot and sun-exposed ultras
Honey Stinger Organic Energy Chews by Honey Stinger — I love the Honey Stinger chews too! Like gummy bears but a little more dialed for running. I generally pick some up at REI too!
