A few of my favorite things! - Cody McKesson

    Curated gear collection

Cody McKesson's expert gear recommendations on Rendezvu

    Products in this list

    • Drink Mix 24 Serving Bulk Bag by Open Fuel — I value clean ingredients as well as functional use. Open Fuel drink mix has no junk or additives, plenty of carbs and electrolytes, as well as great flavors you can drink for your entire ultra or training block! Pro tip: you can mix and match the flavors to your hearts content 🐆 😋
    • Coros Vertix 2S by COROS — Don’t feel like charging your watch for a 200+ mile ultra? Navagationaly declined? No problem! Coros Vertix 2 battery will last for days with continuous gos use and the navigation feature has saved me from getting off course more times than I can count!
    • COROS HR Monitor by COROS — Anyone can use reliable HR data, and the convenience of it being on your arm is amazing!
    • Gel Mix Bulk Bag by Open Fuel — I often find myself picking up gel wrappers on the trail. Even I have noticed my gel wrappers fell out my vest when running, and I feel so bad when it happens… That’s why I was super excited to try this reusable gel mix. With 30g of carbs it pairs perfectly with the hydration mix for 90+ carbs an hour for easy high carb fueling!
    • Gel Flask by Open Fuel — You get to hold a cheetah in your hand. What else do I need to say?
    • NoFry Sun Hoodie - Four Snap by Ketl — I’m actually wearing this now as I type this. I also wore this shirt for all of cocodona, solo and unsupported, without changing out of it once. I like to order a size or two large for a baggier feeling. Lifetime repairs as well which I have taken advantage of after falling on trail and ripping it up!
    • H1 by Mount to Coast — I wore this shoe to qualify for Bigs Backyard Ultra World championship. I was sent this shoe a week or two before my qualifying race, and I knew I had to wear the shoe even though I had barely trained in it. Safe to say it was a good decision. I’m also partial to the Sedona colorway as that’s where I live and train 😉
    • High Country SS by rabbit — I run to work everyday as a teacher. This shirt allows me to run to work and not even have to worry about switching into a dress shirt afterwards. Wedding, date, trail party, or race, it doesn’t matter, this shirt has you covered!
    • S/LAB GENESIS by Salomon — I’m shoe laces biggest hater. For this reason alone, I’ve been using Salomon’s for nearly every single one of my trail races and training runs, especially on technical terrain.

  1. Oslo 2.0 Sunglasses by Roka — Sometimes the gear looks just as good as it functions. Roka sunglasses never slip, look stylish, and can handle speed over tough terrain. I wore 1 pair for all of cocodona, as well as many other fast and technical trail races.
  2. AERO GLIDE 4 GRVL by Salomon
