This is a comfortable, durable and versatile headlamp for ultra-distance racing. Its two lighting modes give me plenty of options to adapt to different situations on the mountain. One of its biggest advantages, in my opinion, is that it uses 18650 batteries, which are relatively easy and affordable to find. Carrying spare batteries means I don't have to rely on a single charge throughout an entire race. In my own experience, I have managed to get almost two full nights of use from a single battery. For ultra running, that kind of battery life and the ability to replace the battery are major advantages.

I've tried so many headlamps and this one really does it all. I like a pretty bright headlamp for night running and the high beam setting lasts a long time. The interchangeable rechargeable batteries gives me confidence I never have to worry about losing battery in a long night section. It's easy to swap batteries on trail, in the dark and even in the rain if you have to. I also tend to get pressure headaches from headlamp bands but the BOA system and fit of this one is so comfortable. It's my most trusted light!
