Ol' Reliable - Christina Del Casale

Gear I consistently come back to / always use

Christina Del Casale's expert gear recommendations on Rendezvu

    Products in this list

    • Osprey Women's Dyna 6 Hydration Vest Blue M by Osprey — Probably larger than I need for most runs, but I won it at a raffle and it holds all the water I could ever need (2.5L), nutrition and accessories. It doesn't bounce or chafe so I wear it on most runs 2+ hours long.
    • Ciele Athletics ALZCap SC by Amazon — It seems Ciele no longer makes the exact cap I have worn for the last year or 2, so unfortunately I had to resort to Amazon to buy another. I have a small head and really found this cap fits it best and the brim doesn't make me look ridiculous. I'll try a new Ciele hat some day!
    • UA Crossback Mid Women's Sports Bra by Under Armour — I've worn Under Armour sports bras for a long time now - they don't chafe, are the right amount of support I need, and wash well.
    • Women's Challenger 8 Shoes by Hoka — I found HOKAs you need to wear in a 1/2 size smaller than other road running shoes. The Challengers are great for technical trails, providing enough cushion that your feet don't ache after hours on your feet and are very durable.
    • Roadkill Run Sock 2 Pack - SRT/DRT by Roadkill Running — I won 2 pairs of these socks and wowee, they are great for both road and trail. They stay up, they're comfortable, and durable.
    • Garmin Forerunner 265 by Garmin — RIP to my Garmin Forerunner - you lasted me years on the road and trail. If I could afford another, I'd replace it, but I have since switched to Coros.
    • PACE 4 by COROS — While it takes getting used to switching from Garmin to Coros, the Coros is great for an affordable replacement watch. I like that it will tell me elevation (whereas I never figured that out on my Garmin) and that the screens are uber customizable. The battery life is fantastic and I like it more and more each day.
    • W's Long Bra by Janji — I've only worn for one run so far, but I love this bra. No seams to chafe, it's soft and comfortable, and the right amount of support for running.
    • SiS Beta Fuel Gel by The Feed — Did I think it tasted like Pepto Bismol at first? Yes. Is that bad? No! The 40g carbs every 20-40 min during my 100K fueled me to a perfectly executed race. Gentle on the stomach and generally not-based tasting, these are now a tried and true product for me. Thanks, Andrew, for the suggestion!
    • Propel Fitness Powder Variety Pack, 40 pk. by Propel — If I could be sponsored by any product, it would be Propel. If I need electrolytes during or after a run, Propel is the one for me.

  1. Compression Leg Sleeves by Zensah — Love these compression sleeves for after grueling long runs or workouts where my legs are just super sore.
  2. Elite Light Cushion Mini Crew by Feetures — Love Feetures - the trail socks, the Merino running socks, the plantar fasciitis socks - all great!
