Getting Started?
One of the most often questions I receive is “What do I need to get started?” This list, will give you a great starting point for getting out on the water on your own or not depending on rental gear if you’re utilizing a guide.
- Echo Carbon XL Euro Nymph by Echo — This rod in a 10’ 4wt is a great rod for both contact and indicator nymphing- with the ability to throw dry flies when the hatch begins.
- Redington Original Fly Rod Kit by Redington — A solid-entry level rod and reel combo, the 5wt is a good choice for indicator nymphing, dry fly and light streamer fishing. Comes with backing, fly line and leader- so you just need to add some tippet and a fly and get on the water!
- Men's Freestone Stockingfoot Waders
