“Awesome ice rope that performs well for leading and top roping! I prefer the Golden Dry treatment for winter.”

Escaper (emergency use)
“the beal escaper is a great tool to descend while rock climbing, I leave this in the bottom of my back and break it out seldomly, but really nice for bail use”

Beal Prusik Cord - 5.5 mm Black 50 Cm
“My favorite option for a pre-sewn prusik. One 50cm or 60cm sling is needed in your glacier kit.”

Beal Opera 8.5mm Dry Cover Climbing Rope
“When every ounce matters, this is the rope I choose for fast and light alpine missions. It's the lightest, skinniest single-rated rope on the market and it performs exactly as you need it to.”

Opera Golden Dry Climbing Rope
“Love this line. Very good hand for such a thin/light rope. Triple rated, you can use this however you want. Usually start this as an ice climbing line since it's double dry treated, then as it wears in I'll move it to redpoint tries on my rock projects. Usually get 3-4 years of fairly regular use out of them. Not a workhorse rope, but worth the specialization.”

Beal Booster III 9.7 mm
“This is my go-to personal climbing rope. Depending on your area, a 60m or 70m (or even an 80m these days!) may make the most sense. Check with more experienced climbers in your area to see what length makes the most sense. Skip the dry treatment for your first rope. I prefer a bipattern, but if you're just going to be single pitch cragging, that may be overkill.”
