    Fixed Time - Allison Powell

Everything I used to set the CR at Moonlight at Mt. Acsenion! Grabbing two Carbs gels and 1 Luna bar every loop made it easy to keep track of nutrition, and I filled up my bladder to make hydration simple too!

Allison Powell's expert gear recommendations on Rendezvu

    Products in this list

    • Carbs Fuel Original 50g Energy Gel by Carbs Fuel — I've used Carbs across several multi-day events (200-mile races and FKTs), and I've yet to tire of the taste! They go down easily and have little flavor outside of "sweet". With 50 grams of carbs per serving, they are a great deal too!
    • COROS VERTIX 2S by COROS — I've used the Coros since Bigfoot 200. I love the long battery life and simple design!
    • 2Toms® SportShield® Anti Chafing Roll-On by 2Toms — I've used 2Toms since I started running! The roll-on sport stick creates a "seal" around my skin in heavy chafe areas. I would never start a long day without it!
    • W's 3" Multi Short by Janji — I've been running in Janji for about 3 years and love their 3" shorts best. They are comfy, durable, and hold up across many, many hours of running, hiking, and living.
    • LUNA Bar by clif bar logo — Lunas Bars never fail. They are light on my stomach, deliver some protein, and are around 200 calories per bar. I love that I can eat them and not feel like there is a pound of food in my stomach. Instead, I just feel that good energy powering me forward!
    • Sawyer Stay Put Bonding Base SPF 30 Sunscreen by Unknown — Sawyer stays put. I've applied this sunscreen once at 4am and not had a hint of a sunburn over 12 hours later. I love that I don't have to worry about continuing to reapply. I can put it once, and forget it!
    • Women's Antora 4 by Merrell — The Merrell Antora is my go-to racing shoe. The sole has great grip, the shoe is comfortable, and the durability is fantastic. I wore the same pair for Cocodona training run, Cocodona, and a 3-day fastpack of the Wonderland Trail. They held up through it all! No holes or tears, just cool styles!
    • ACTIVE SKIN 12 by Salomon — The Salomon vests are great for shorter distance events or long training runs (3-7 hours)They are comfortable and hold a good amount of gear!
    • Kogalla RA by Kogalla — I prefer waistlights to headlamps, and the Kogalla can't be beat! You have the option to choose battery pack size based on need, which is handy. I typically run with the largest size, which allows me to power my light AND charge my phone and my watch simultaneously.

  1. ArmaSkin Anti-Blister Toe Liner Socks – Short by ArmaSkin — These socks are amazing! I first wore them for Cocodona last year, and they worked great. After Jigger Johnson 100 (which took 40 hours as second place!) I had no blisters or hot spots whatsoever. Incredible!
  2. Velocity™ 2L by HydraPak — I prefer using a bladder, as bottles up front have caused me some chest and rib pain, impacting my races (even soft flasks!) The 2L is perfect, you can fill it all the way up, or just halfway for a lighter pack!
