    Tyler Silvestri's review

We reach for the Smith I/O MAG S ChromaPop Goggles when we want big-mountain clarity in a streamlined frame built for smaller faces. The spherical lens design boosts peripheral vision so we can scan for features, find the cleanest snow, and stay aware in crowded areas. With ChromaPop optics enhancing color and contrast, the landscape turns sharp and defined even when clouds roll in or the snow shifts to flat light. When conditions change quickly, the MAG interchangeable system lets us swap lenses with a secure magnetic-and-lock setup that stays put once we’re moving again. Moisture-wicking face foam, anti-fog treatment, and a silicone-backed strap keep everything dry, stable, and comfortable through long days on the hill. Paired with an included low-light lens, the I/O MAG S gives us the adaptability and precision we need for chasing quality turns in any weather.

Similar to my helmet recommendation, you can likewise spend (much) more and (much) less on goggles. I find these to be an ideal compromise. Yes, they are likely more than you *want* to spend on goggles, but they have all of the qualities and features that you want and need out out of a pair of goggles. Drop your price point from here and you start giving up what you need. Increase your price point and you are paying for luxury. These are the 4th Gen Toyota 4Runners of googles.
