    Chris Andrews, Ultrarunner & Coach

I trust Garmin with my life! I've run 2 R2R2Rs, 2 100 milers, and countless ultras and years of long training days with these beasts in the remote mountains of Big Sur. I'm a data freak and Garmin Loverboy, and have been for the last 12 years since starting high school XC. There isn't a watch ecosystem I trust more. I use the inreach line for deep wilderness stuff like in Yosemite and the Grand Canyon.

Perfect for tracking workouts. I like to note my heart rates and intensity levels on my day to day runs. And simply just track my steps and time on feet each day.

The Garmin Fenix has been my go-to watch for almost 7 years now. I had the Fenix 6s and it was still functioning just fine when I decided to upgrade to the Fenix 8 Pro. It is important to me to be able to see and navigate through detailed maps right on my watch. Ultimately I listen to my body intuively, but I pretty much always find that the health metrics the watch gives me for HRV, stress, heart rate, etc. are spot on and that helps me to adjust and validate my training plan accordingly.
