This sounds small, but postpartum running felt so much better once I found leggings and shorts that didn’t dig into my abdomen or irritate my scar. I personally gravitated toward high-waisted options because they made me feel more secure and held together during the early return-to-run phase. There’s also something mentally comforting about not constantly adjusting your waistband or feeling exposed while your body is still healing and changing.

I own an embarrassing number of pairs of shorts, but these are always the ones I want for a key workout or big long run. Mine are 4 years old, have been washed hundreds of times (literally) and are still going strong. I also have the shorter length (2"), but these are nice for an extra bit of coverage.
