- What people are saying
- Hosts consistently praise durability (multiple 850–1,000+ mile pairs), comfort, and customizable fit; the repeated caveat is that it is not a fast or race-oriented shoe. Value for the price is called out as a standout.

- A quieter-riding R1R variant exists. Notes are overwhelmingly positive with no dissenting voices, so criticism is thin.
Matt Parker's review
My first Mount to Coast product did not disappoint. I owe it to these shoes for earning a North American top fifteen 100-mile time in my debut at the distance in 2024. Light but durable. Customizable fit. High energy return. What more could you want?

Shoe of choice for any and all road miles. Put over 1000 miles on my last pair and they felt as good at mile 1000 as mile 1.

Super comfortable, I wore these for an impromptu road marathon and had zero regrets. Not the fastest shoe in the lineup, but great for daily miles. Also a go-to for treadmill runs. The R1R version rides a bit quieter.

Believe it or not, this is my "recovery shoe", not race shoe. It's not a great road race shoe as it doesn't offer speed. Instead it offers neutrality which is great for recovery pace while not actively hurting yourself.
