Good technical axe with hammer for hammering pickets

This is the most versatile mountaineering axe. You can self-arrest, swing it, and plunge with it. And it is "T" rated. This is probably over kill for Mt. Washington, but if you are going to buy one mountaineering axe, this is it!

I use this axe for almost all of the mountaineering I do. It is aggressive enough to tackle steeper terrain, while also providing enough of the features of a general mountaineering ice axe. I use this on every trip I do up rainier.
