I use a waist light in addition to a headlamp when I go through an entire night. I feel like this light is easier on the eyes, provides a wider light cone, and better depth perception on technical trails or off-trail. The 600 is strong enough and has enough battery life for a full night.

I get a headache when wearing a headlamp for too long. This waist light is the answer. I've worn this multiple times during overnight races and loved it every time.

This is my go-to lighting for every nighttime race. I have astigmatism, which alters my depth perception and the 3D lighting system helps me negotiate stuff on the ground so much better than using a headlamp. If you need a better option than a headlamp, I suggest you give one of UltrAspire's waist lamps a try!!
