Utilizes a scientifically formulated 1:0.8 maltodextrin-to-fructose ratio for maximum absorption and minimal gastrointestinal distress. 3. pH-neutral formula allows for efficient processing in the intestines, avoiding the discomfort associated with acidic gels. 4. Available in clean, natural flavors such as Orange and Strawberry & Lime, with an option for a neutral taste. 5. Recommended intake of one gel every 30 minutes during activities lasting over 90 minutes for sustained energy. 6. Lightweight and portable packaging makes it easy to carry and consume on-the-go. 7. No artificial ingredients, ensuring a clean fueling option for health-conscious athletes. SiS Beta Fuel Gel is ideal for endurance athletes engaged in activities such as long-distance running, cycling, or triathlons. It performs best in high-intensity conditions where sustained energy is crucial, particularly during events lasting over 90 minutes. Targeted at both amateur and professional athletes, this gel excels in scenarios requiring consistent energy replenishment without digestive issues, making it a reliable choice for training and competition alike.
Price: $3.99 - $119.99
- Who it's for
- Endurance athletes—particularly ultra and long-distance runners—who prioritize high carb intake and stomach tolerance during racing or training. Works well for those who want a neutral or low-sweetness flavor and easy swallowing.
- What people are saying
- Hosts consistently praise the 40g carbs per gel, stomach-friendliness, and easy-to-swallow consistency; flavor divides some (one compared it to Pepto Bismol initially) but most find the neutral or low-sweetness profile a positive. Several call it a go-to race gel.
- Worth noting
- The gel is physically larger than typical gels, which adds bulk in a vest on ultras. The Nootropics Beta variant has a yellow stripe and contains 200mg caffeine—easy to confuse with the standard version, which has no caffeine.
Christina Del Casale's review
Did I think it tasted like Pepto Bismol at first? Yes. Is that bad? No! The 40g carbs every 20-40 min during my 100K fueled me to a perfectly executed race. Gentle on the stomach and generally not-based tasting, these are now a tried and true product for me. Thanks, Andrew, for the suggestion!

15% off: ROBYNRUNS 40g carb in a small volume. The Neutral flavor has not much/no taste (which I prefer). I empty these into the hydrapac nutrition flasks and the combo makes nutrition SO much easier to get down.

One of my go-to gels for racing. 40g carbs per gel, neutral flavor, thin but not watery consistency that's really easy to get down. No caffeine. I use these in combination with other gels during racing and training. ***WARNING, the Nootropics beta gel has a yellow stripe on the top of the gel and has 200mg of caffeine! (I take 1/2 of one of these late in races)

I take one of these gels every 30-45 minutes depending on the distance I’m running. It keeps me going without stomach issues. I know the presentation is a little big and requires more room in the vest. So if you run ultras, the load could feel a little heavier but totally worth it to carry them.

The GOAT gel. Delicious, 40g carb rocket fuel, with enough sodium to replenish without getting thirsty. I legit look forward to eating these.

SiS gels get mixed into my high carb nutrition plan for the yummy flavors. They're great on my stomach, too, and I feel powered up shortly after taking one. I always get excited when I pull out a SiS gel on my long runs.
