- Who it's for
- Skiers who prioritize uphill travel as much as downhill performance, including telemark and AT setups. Best suited for big powder days and variable backcountry conditions.
- What people are saying
- Hosts consistently praise the lightweight feel on the ascent, deep-snow float, and quick pivot from the 50% rocker. One notes it handles any condition on the way down; no criticism appears across the notes.
- Worth noting
- The reinforced plate underfoot is flagged as reliably secure for telemark bindings, not just AT. Price is noted as high, but hosts cite build quality as justification.
Carl Beach's review
As primarily a telemark skier, the Tour version of these skis work incredibly well both inbounds and out for big powder days. They are still quite stable and float better than many skis I have had that were wider. Surfy, smeary, and very quick to pivot with the 50% rocker, these are so much fun when the snow gets deep. Definitely not the cheapest skis on the market, but the quality is incredibly high and the very strong plate underfoot keeps telemark bindings secure (as well as any AT binding).
