    What people are saying
Notes are unanimously positive — hosts call it the best all-around HMS/pear-shaped locker and their default pairing for both tube-style and assisted-braking belay devices. No criticism appears across any of the nine notes.
    Worth noting
Standout features cited: round stock at the top for smooth rope movement, a red indicator when unlocked, and light weight. Notes are one-sided in praise, so no counterpoint exists to report.

    Ben Lim's review

Two locking carabiners is sufficient when climbing as a guest with us. But 5 total lockers is useful if you want to get on the sharp end.

The carabiner I pair with my ATC Guide belay device for rappelling and belaying.

    Doug Dobkowski, Outdoor Educator, Guide

The pear-shaped carabiner is my prefered carabiner for clove hitches, which is my primary tool for connecting myself to an anchor. I always bring four of these with me. I use one on my tube-style belay device, one on my assisted breaking device, I use one to secure myself via clove hitch, and the fourth one is for use in the event of self-rescue. Pear-shaped carabiners work great with the munter hitch. The Petzl Attache is my favorite Pear-shaped carabiner. The features that stand out for me is the red indicator when the carabiner is not locked, the round stock on top for the rope to run over, and the light weight design.

These are not only lightweight but stylish! They work extremely well and are worth a few extra bucks per locker. These are the gold standard of carabiners and my go-tos.

If you buy one carabiner, buy this one. HMS shaped so it has room for clove hitches and münter hitches, small, and round stock where you want it.

These carabiners rock. My rack is a mix of these and the Rochas, and I love the versatility of both of them.
